Trust & Safety
Last updated: 12 August 2026
At Rydr, your safety is our top priority. We are committed to providing a professional, reliable, and secure chauffeur experience for passengers, chauffeurs, and transportation partners.
1. Vetted Chauffeurs
Rydr works with professional and appropriately licensed chauffeurs and transportation partners. Chauffeurs may be required to provide information and documentation so that their eligibility and suitability can be verified before they fulfil journeys through the platform.
Depending on the requirements applicable to the service, verification may include driving licence information, private-hire driver licence information, profile information, and other relevant documentation.
2. Vehicle Safety
Vehicles used to fulfil Rydr journeys may be subject to verification requirements. This can include checking relevant vehicle registration, private-hire vehicle licensing, insurance, MOT, and vehicle documentation.
We aim to work with vehicles that meet the applicable legal and service requirements for the journeys they provide.
3. Passenger Safety
Passengers should follow reasonable safety instructions provided by the chauffeur and behave respectfully throughout the journey.
Please provide accurate booking information, including passenger numbers, luggage requirements, pickup location, and destination, so that the appropriate vehicle and service can be arranged.
4. Secure Booking and Payments
Rydr provides a secure booking platform for managing journeys and customer information. Card payments are processed through our payment service provider, Adyen, using its payment infrastructure.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to help protect account and transaction information.
5. Reporting a Safety Concern
If you experience a safety issue, inappropriate behaviour, accident, service concern, or other incident during or in connection with a Rydr journey, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
For complaints, lost-and-found reports, or other service issues, use the relevant support or complaint process available through Rydr.
6. Lost Property
If you leave an item in a Rydr vehicle, please report it to us as soon as possible with your booking and item details. We will make reasonable efforts to assist with locating and returning lost property, but recovery cannot be guaranteed.
7. Zero Tolerance for Unsafe Behaviour
Rydr does not tolerate behaviour that threatens the safety, dignity, or wellbeing of passengers, chauffeurs, or other people. This includes violence, threats, harassment, abuse, discrimination, or deliberate damage to vehicles or property.
Where appropriate, Rydr may investigate reports and take action, which may include restricting or suspending access to the platform or services.
8. Emergency Situations
If you are experiencing an immediate danger or emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency services first. Once you are safe, you may contact Rydr so that we can assist with the relevant booking or incident.
9. Our Commitment
Trust and safety are an ongoing responsibility. We continuously aim to improve our platform, chauffeur verification processes, operational standards, and customer support to provide a dependable premium transportation experience.
